Estonian Foreign Minister: There is no military solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict

Baku. 12 June. REPORT.AZ/ "There is no military solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Peaceful settlement serves the interests of the parties involved in the conflict”. Report informs, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia Sven Mikser said at a joint press conference with his Azerbaijani counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov in Baku.

The Estonian Foreign Minister called on the parties to the conflict to leave military rhetoric: "I believe that there is no other format than the OSCE Minsk Group that will be able to make every effort to resolve this conflict”.

S. Mikser said that Azerbaijan and Estonia have a great potential for deepening relations, in particular, in the spheres of education and IT.

"We have an ambitious agenda during the EU presidency, in particular Brexit. All questions are important from the point of view of ensuring security in Europe. Also, the main issue will be the direction of strengthening cooperation with the Eastern Partnership countries.

I hope that Azerbaijan and the EU will sign an agreement on strategic cooperation. For us, the content of the agreement is very important, it will also positively influence relations between Baku and Tallinn”, - Foreign Minister said.
