Baku. 24 October. REPORT.AZ/ The OSCE Mediterranean conference on "Advancing Mediterranean security and cooperation in an age of large movements of migrants and refugees" kicked off in Palermo, Italy, within the framework of OSCE Mediterranean Partners for Co-operation.

Report informs, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov is also attending the two-day conference.

The conference will provide the participating States and Partners for Co-operation with an opportunity to exchange views, experiences, best practices, and lessons learned with a view to exploring together successful co-operative approaches to the issues posed by increased migration and refugee flows both in transit and receiving countries, discuss methods of combating trafficking in human beings associated with large movements of refugees and migrants and other issues.

Notably, at the conference Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov will deliver a speech. On the sidelines of the conference, he will have bilateral meetings with counterparts.
