Baku. 15 October. REPORT.AZ/ The Eastern Partnership (EaP) ministerial meeting due in Luxembourg will bring together EU foreign ministers and their counterparts from the six Eastern Partnership countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine), as well as key stakeholders involved in the region, Report informs.
The High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini will chair the meeting. Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov will represent Azerbaijan at the meeting
The meeting will provide an opportunity to resume the political dialogue between the EU and its Eastern partners. Foreign ministers will also take stock of the implementation of the partnership's commitments, including the priorities identified as the '20 deliverables for 2020'.
In addition, the agenda of negotiations of the Council on Foreign Affairs of the EU includes discussion of the situation in Libya, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as Venezuela and the CAR.
The Eastern Partnership program, aimed at bringing the EU closer to its six eastern neighbors - Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus, started in 2009 at a summit in Prague. It was initiated by Poland and Sweden.
