Deputy minister: Laos will join consultations to learn Azerbaijan's experience

The delegation of Laos will join the consultations to share their country's experience in preparing the Voluntary National Report and at the same time to learn about Azerbaijan's experience, Deputy Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Sahib Mammadov said at the the 4th Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Dialogue on the topic "Stakeholder Consultation on 4th Voluntary National Review of Azerbaijan and Women’s Economic Empowerment for SDG 5 Acceleration."

He also touched on the issue of expanding women’s economic rights and opportunities:

“According to the calculations of the International Labor Organization, a total of 299 million jobs are expected to be created by 2035 as a result of investments in the care economy, with women to make 78 percent. As a result, global employment levels are expected to increase by 6.3 percent overall and female employment levels by 10 percent by 2035, and as a result, the gender gap in employment is projected to decrease by 7.5 percentage points.”
