Deputy Foreign Minister: Azerbaijan and EU may agree on text of new agreement by March

Baku. 14 December. REPORT.AZ/ Azerbaijan and the EU can agree on the text of the new agreement until March, Report informs citing Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Mahmud Mammadguliyev.

"If we understand each other and make compromises, then I think we will agree on the new agreement by March. Its preparation and initialing is important for us. After that, there should already be a ratification of the document," he said.

He noted that the results of the upcoming EU elections will not affect the signing of the agreement, since both parties are interested in this document.

Notably, earlier, the EU ambassador to Azerbaijan Kestutis Jankauskas said that the European Union hopes to agree on the text of the new agreement with Azerbaijan by the 10th anniversary of the Eastern Partnership program.
