Deputy FM: Turkey sees its relations with Azerbaijan as historical and legal responsibility

"We see our relations with Azerbaijan as a historical and legal responsibility," Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Yavuz Selim Kiran said at the meeting of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Grand National Assembly, Report informs, citing Haber Global.

According to him, the processes in South Caucasus are essential for Turkey and Azerbaijan: "We attach importance to maintaining our relations with Azerbaijan at a high level."

"Azerbaijan's investments in Turkey exceeded $20 billion, while Turkey investments in Azerbaijan were above $12 billion. Agreements have been reached in the military and other fields. We have expanded the scale of the joint exercises," the Deputy FM said.

Yavuz Selim Kiran also noted that 132 square kilometres of territory in Karabakh have been cleared of mines: "At the same time, 9 Turkish companies operate in the liberated territories."
