Damir Mukhetdinov: Muslim architectural monuments play key role in development of interreligious dialogue

Muslim architectural monuments, especially those located outside traditional Muslim areas of residence, play a key role in the development of interreligious dialogue, First Deputy Chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russian Federation Damir Mukhetdinov said at a panel discussion at the international scientific conference “Islamophobia in Focus: Unveiling Bias, Shattering Stigmas,” Report informs.

According to Mukhetdinov, religious structures such as mosques are becoming not only places of spiritual unification, but also significant elements of cultural diplomacy, especially in the context of religious and ethnic diversity.

“The history associated with the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, its independence and restoration are becoming visible, what role religious architectural monuments play in the memory of the past of society,” he said.
