Council of Europe ready to assist Baku and Yerevan to achieve lasting peace, CoE chief says

The Council of Europe continues to be ready to assist Azerbaijan and Armenia to achieve lasting peace, Secretary General of the Council of Europe Marija Pejčinović Burić said on the social network X.

According to Report, she also welcomed the joint statement of Armenia and Azerbaijan, calling it 'a positive step in the right direction.'.

The Council of Europe arrived in Baku today. She was accepted by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
