Benjamin Clement: Reunionese demand return of lands to their rightful owners

The people of Reunion are demanding the return of lands to their rightful owners, said Benjamin Clement, coordinator of the Ka Ubuntu Independence Movement's Reunion branch, at an international conference in Baku titled "Independence of Reunion: A Look at France's Colonial Heritage and Path to Sovereignty," Report informs.

Clement noted that the people of Reunion are trying to strengthen their historical-political struggle:

"We demand compensation from those who took away our culture. We once again retairiate that we will destroy colonialism."
