Azerbaijan and Slovenia have the potential to expand their trade and economic relations, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said during a joint press conference with Slovenian Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon, according to Report.
"There is a positive trend, but the full potential of trade and economic relations between Azerbaijan and Slovenia has not yet been realized," Bayramov said.
According to him, in 2024, the trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $30 million. "This does not meet our expectations. We will work on this issue. There is a positive trend, for example, last year Geoplin and SOCAR signed an agreement (on gas supply)," he said.
Bayramov also noted that today, during the discussions, the parties talked about involving Slovenian companies in activities in Karabakh and East Zangazur. "We provided them with information on the progress of reconstruction efforts, and there are opportunities for Slovenian companies to operate in these regions," the foreign minister added.
