Baku. 3 March. REPORT.AZ/ Baku hosted seminar on migration and gender equality as part of MOBILAZE project.

Report informs, addressing the meeting, the Head of EU Delegation in Azerbaijan Malena Mard said that MOBILAZE project with a budget of 2.5 million EUR aims to improve governance in Azerbaijan in migration.

"Migration is an important issue today, not only for Europe, but also for Azerbaijan. Today's event is important because women often become victims of trafficking. Therefore, we decided to dedicate one of seminars to this topic", M. Mard added.

Notably, purpose of the one-day seminar is to present relationships and trends in solution of problems related to migration and gender issues from a theoretical perspective, and also to discuss situation with migrant women in Azerbaijan.
