Azerbaijani representative elected UN Committee's member

Elections to the UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights for 2021-2024 were held during the September 14 meeting of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), Report informs.

According to the official website of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Nadir Adilov, Advisor to the Chairman of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was elected a member of the Committee.

Established in 1985, the Committee monitors the implementation of the provisions of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights by the States Parties.

For the first time, the 18-member Committee selected an Azerbaijani representative. 

Nadir Adilov is the author of books published under the pseudonym Nadir Adilman in Azerbaijan and many other countries. His writings on business development are among the best-sellers.
