The first meeting of the Ethics Council of the Georgian Parliament was held.

Local bureau of Report informs referring to the Press Service of Georgian Parliament that the issues related to the activity of the Ethics Council and forms of certain documents were discussed at the meeting. Member of the Council Irina Pruidze said that the Ethics Council will be fully operational for the beginning of September. The Ethics Council was established on March 19 this year by the decision of the Georgian Parliament. 14 MPs were represented at the meeting. Major MP Ruslan Hajiyev representing the ruling Georgian Dream Party from Marneuli district are among them.

The Council will monitor the compliance with the Code of Ethics, which regulates relations of MPs with their colleagues, society, the media and other organizations. The Council will also determine the responsibility for the violation of the code.
