Azerbaijani, Italian FMs hold phone conversation

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov had a telephone conversation with his Italian counterpart Luigi Di Maio, the Foreign Ministry told Report.

Minister Bayramov informed his Italian counterpart about the current situation in the region, issues related to the implementation of the trilateral statements of November 10, 2020, and January 11, 2021, the work done by Azerbaijan in this direction, as well as the violation by Armenia of obligations arising from the statement.

Luigi Di Maio stressed the importance of implementing all aspects of the trilateral statement to normalize the interstate situation in the region.

The ministers also discussed prospects for the comprehensive development of relations between the two countries, new opportunities for cooperation in the region, opportunities for expanding collaboration in the energy and humanitarian spheres.

The sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
