Azerbaijani delegation at PABSEC meeting in Yerevan refuses jubilee medals of organization

Baku. 27 November. REPORT.AZ/ Four delegations at once refused to receive commemorative medals during the 52nd session of the General Assembly of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC), which opened in Yerevan today.

Report informs citing the Armenian press that after the opening session the speaker of the Armenian Parliament Ara Babloyan announced awarding of all national delegations with medals on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the organization, however four delegations-Azerbaijan, Turkey, Georgia and Ukraine – refused to accept the medals.

In this regard, Ara Babloyan reminded that the award concerns not only the heads, but the delegations who worked honestly for a quarter of a century. In his turn, PABSEC Secretary General Asaf Hajiyev noted that there is no need to make it tragedy, especially since the head of the Turkish delegation has not yet been approved.

Notably, the Azerbaijani delegation is headed by  MP Eldar Guliyev.
