Azerbaijan's MFA responds to Armenian MFA: 'We firmly reject absurd claims'

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan commented on the allegations made by the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Ani Badalyan, in response to the question of Liberty Radio, Report informs.

"The absurd claims made by Ani Badalyan regarding the establishment of a border-control checkpoint on the Lachin road, the forces of Armenia in the territory of Azerbaijan, and the fact that 8 villages are still under occupation in her answer to the question of radio have no basis and we strongly reject them.

"The legitimate decision and step taken by Azerbaijan to establish a border checkpoint on its sovereign territory is in compliance with all principles and norms of international law. Armenia's interference in this decision of Azerbaijan is unacceptable," MFA said.
