Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Khalaf Khalafov has visited Germany. During the visit, the Azerbaijani minister held meetings with the Commissioner of the German Foreign Ministry for Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia Matthias Lutenberg and Deputy Advisor to the German Federal Chancellor for Foreign and Security Policy Christian Aulbach, Report was told in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, a wide exchange of views took place on bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Germany, cooperation between Azerbaijan and the EU, processes taking place in the international arena and the region.
The parties expressed hope for the continuation of an intensive and sincere political dialogue between Azerbaijan and Germany under the new German government. They also discussed the possibility of developing economic ties, Germany's active participation in the restoration of Azerbaijan's liberated territories, and deepening cooperation in the energy sector. It was emphasized that Azerbaijan is a reliable partner of the European Union and plays an essential role in its energy security.
