Azerbaijan establishes diplomatic relations with Namibia

Azerbaijan maintains diplomatic relations with the Republic of Namibia.

Report informs citing the embassy of Azerbaijan in Ethiopia that a “Joint communique on establishing diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Namibia” was signed in Addis Ababa on October 17.

The document was signed by Ambassador Elman Abdullayev from Azerbaijani side and Emilia Mkusa from Namibia.

Abdullayev said Azerbaijan attaches great importance to developing bilateral and multilateral cooperation with African countries. He also noted that Namibia is one of the developed countries in Africa.

In his turn, Mkusa praised the successful development of our country and underlined that Azerbaijan is a reliable partner of African countries.

After signing the agreement the number of African countries that established diplomatic relations with the Republic of Azerbaijan reached 51.
