Azerbaijan and Germany are working to develop the NGO potential on humanitarian demining, Report informs, citing the German embassy in Azerbaijan.
"Germany has proposed to the Azerbaijani authorities a year-long project which is aimed at building the capacity of a national NGO to carry out humanitarian demining. Please note that the project partners are currently taking preparatory steps to begin the project," the embassy said.
German Ambassador Ralf Horlemann said recently that Germany fully supports the efforts of Azerbaijan and the European Union in the mine clearance process, “including within the framework of our own project, which is "underway."
