Baku. 21 December. REPORT.AZ/ Azerbaijan is considering joining Islamic military coalition led by Saudi Arabia.
Report informs citing the Tass, newspaper "Al-Sharq al-Awsat" writes.
According to Azerbaijani Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Rasim Rzayev, Azerbaijan supports the desire of the kingdom in the fight against terrorism in all its manifestations, it is in the interest of the country.
"Therefore, we are studying a proposal to enter into the Islamic Military Alliance", he concluded.
According to the newspaper, Tajikistan showed positive intention in joining the coalition.
Recall that, Saudi Arabia announced earlier on Tuesday the formation of a 34-nation Islamic military coalition to combat terrorism. The coalition includes 33 countries. Coordination of activities will be carried out in Riyadh.
