The US administration is interested in normalizing relations between Baku and Yerevan, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said in an interview with Turkish media, Report informs.
He noted that Armenia maintains contacts with the US administration.
"We have contacts. The new US administration welcomed our statements expressing agreement on the text of the peace treaty. I can also say that there is noticeable interest from the new administration in the normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations. We are seeing these signals," added the Armenian Foreign Minister.
Commenting on the possible location for signing the peace agreement with Azerbaijan, Mirzoyan noted that there is an idea to hold the ceremony on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. "Several other capitals are also offering their services. I do not rule out any options," he said.
