Ana Birchall: Green energy from Azerbaijan to play important role for EU's energy security

'Green energy' supplies from Azerbaijan via Georgia and Black Sea to Europe will play an important role in ensuring the energy security of the latter, Deputy Prime Minister of Romania Ana Birchall told Report.

Azerbaijan is already helping Romania and the whole of Europe, to mitigate the consequences of the energy crisis, she said.

According to her, she remembers discussions with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, stressing that she was impressed by his vision and desire to be a strategic partner for Europe, and Romania in particular.

Azerbaijan's assistance has been huge these days, she said, adding that Romania survived the winter thanks to this assistance.

Birchall said she was very glad to see positive cooperation between the two countries.
