Ambassador: Ukraine considers participation in Southern Gas Corridor project attractive

Ukraine considers attractive participation in the Southern Gas Corridor project, Report informs citing Ambassador of Ukraine to Azerbaijan Vladislav Kanevsky who spoke at a press conference. According to the ambassador, Azerbaijan is becoming an increasingly strong player at the international level, including in the context of energy.

"I've been here for over four months. My activity, as the ambassador of Ukraine, will be aimed at expanding and strengthening bilateral cooperation with Azerbaijan. And there are clear opportunities for this.There is not much left until the end of this year, we want to implement a number of ambitious projects”, Kanevsky said.

The ambassador emphasized that regional cooperation is also an important element of bilateral relations: "A visit to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic showed the demand for such ties. "We were preparing for the visit and came with specific proposals, including investment proposals, for signing between our regions."

The ambassador noted that he also intends to continue work on strengthening bilateral cooperation in the defense sector: “A month and a half ago, I met with the Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan, we discussed specific issues in the military-industrial complex."

The Ambassador of Ukraine also noted the importance of cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian sphere.
