Ambassador: "Turkey ensures its security through Operation Peace Spring"

The goal of the Operation Peace Spring is to clear northern Syria from terrorist elements, particularly, PKK, YPG and ISIS terrorist organizations, Report's Local bureau  informs citing Turkey's ambassador to Georgia Fatma Ceren Yazgan.

"Another goal of the operation is to ensure border security of Turkey."

The diplomat said that Turkey is a member of the coalition against the ISIS and the work in this area is underway.

Yazgan noted that Turkey protects its security through Operation Peace Spring: "We do not only believe that we are right, but we know for sure."

According to the ambassador, all political forces in Turkey support this operation.

Regarding the international recognition of “Source of peace” operation, the diplomat said he did not agree with it: "Some EU countries try to condemn the operation. These countries pursue their own interests, but not Turkey's. Why the attacks on Turkey are not condemned by these countries is a question.

Yazgan made a presentation at a press conference exposing fake news and photographs spread on social networks and some websites regarding anti-terror operation.
