Ambassador: No political changes in Pakistan may affect our relations with Azerbaijan

Baku. 14 August. REPORT.AZ / Parliamentary elections held in Pakistan will not affect relations between Baku and Islamabad.

Report informs, the ambassador of Pakistan to Azerbaijan, Khan Mohmand told journalists at an official reception on the occasion of Independence Day.

"Relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan are developing intensively in all directions. We support each other in all international organizations. Our joint work in the framework of the OIC and the UN can be example for it. No political changes, particularly the recent Pakistan elections to the Parliament, may adversely affect our relationship", said the Ambassador.

In addition, the diplomat noted that direct flights can be opened between Baku and Islamabad next year.

"This is due to our close relations and the growth of the flow of tourists from Pakistan to Azerbaijan. In this regard, some Pakistani airlines are already interested in this initiative," he concluded.
