Ambassador: Azerbaijan important for Italy in terms of energy cooperation

Baku. 16 February. REPORT.AZ/ Azerbaijan is important for Italy in terms of energy cooperation.

Report informs, Italian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Augusto Massari stated.

"I positively assess our cooperation, I have been working here only for six months and I feel only warmth for me, for Italian language and culture. There is close political cooperation between our countries”, Italian ambassador said.

According to him, Azerbaijani foreign minister Elmar Mammadyarov intends to hold a meeting with his Italian counterpart Angelino Alfano in Munich on the sidelines of annual security conference.

"Our cooperation is high not only in politics, but also in a number of other areas as trade and culture", Massari added.

He pointed out that Azerbaijan is important for Italy in terms of energy cooperation, and expressed hope for further deepening of ties in this direction.
