Ambassador: Azerbaijan - great friend of Pakistan

Pakistan celebrates the 74th anniversary of independence. Over the years, the country has made tremendous progress, Pakistani Ambassador to Azerbaijan Bilal Hayee said at an event dedicated to the 74th anniversary of Pakistan’s independence, Report informs.

“Our economy is developing, and industrial production has increased, but, more importantly, Pakistan has made friends in the international arena. I would like to emphasize that Azerbaijan is a great friend of Pakistan,” the ambassador noted.

He added that Azerbaijan and Pakistan have always supported each other in difficult times:

“Azerbaijan supports Pakistan in the issue of Jammu and Kashmir. We appreciate this support from the Azerbaijani people. Both Pakistan and Azerbaijan are facing problems such as COVID, climate change, etc. It is crucial that our countries are trying to solve such problems jointly. I hope that in the coming months and years, both countries will achieve greater progress and prosperity,” the ambassador said.
