Report informs, the Ambassador of Mexico in Azerbaijan Rodrigo Labardini said journalists at the press conference.

The Ambassador noted that the diplomatic relations, established in 1992, have a positive tendency of development. Thus, in 2007, the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Mexico was opened, and in 2014, the diplomatic mission of Mexico began its activities in Baku.

"Thanks to the work of our diplomatic missions, we have achieved a lot. Thus, in 2008, we had high-level political consultations for the first time. And in 2011, parliamentarians and senators from Mexico visited Azerbaijan, after which Mexico adopted a resolution on Nagorno - Karabakh," he said.

According to the diplomat, trade cooperation between the countries is of particular importance.

"So, in 2017, for the first time, an exchange of trade missions took place. In June this year, a delegation from Mexico will take part for the first time at Oil and Gas exhibition held in Baku. And in July and October, the next trade missions are expected to visit Azerbaijan from Mexico," Labardini said.

In addition, as the Ambassador noted, in 2017, the two countries signed documents in the field of education and science, culture, youth and sport.
