Executive Director of the Baku Initiative Group (BIG) Abbas Abbasov spoke at the opening of the 4th Session of the UN Permanent Forum of Peoples of African Descent.

He said that the serious consequences of the colonial rule of France and the Netherlands will be discussed at the conference "Decolonization: A Quiet Revolution" to be organized by the BIG on April 15 with the support of the forum.

Within the framework of the session, Abbasov met with the chair of the forum, Martin Kimani, and presented him with the book "The Evolution of French Colonialism: A Political and Constitutional Study", prepared by order of the BIG.

The 4th session of the Permanent Forum on People of African Descent, held at the UN Headquarters in New York, will be held on April 14-17. The event will be attended by the Baku Initiative Group and the political movements fighting for independence in the colonies of France and the Netherlands, which closely cooperate with it.
