Timur Zhuravel: It will be the biggest stadium that ever hosted UEFA Cup final

Timur Zhuravel: It will be the biggest stadium that ever hosted UEFA Cup final Baku has a huge experience in holding major competitions. I think the Europa League is in some ways even cooler than Formula 1 or the European games that Baku has already hosted. And it seems to me that a city with such opportunities, a city that has transformed beyond recognition over the past decade, will not have any problems to hold such a match, Commentator of the Russian Match TV Timur Zhuravel told Report.

Timur Zhuravel: It will be the biggest stadium that ever hosted UEFA Cup final

"Baku has a huge experience in holding major competitions. I think the Europa League is in some ways even cooler than Formula 1 or the European games that Baku has already hosted. And it seems to me that a city with such opportunities, a city that has transformed beyond recognition over the past decade, will not have any problems to hold such a match," Commentator of the Russian Match TV Timur Zhuravel told Report.

Zhuravel will comment on the final match of the UEFA Europa League, which will held in Baku on May 29. He shared his thoughts on Azerbaijan's preparation for this event, its coverage in the Russian media outlets and his expectations from the game.

"Such is a holiday not only for guests, but also for local residents, so everyone who wants should attend this event. Regarding the small number of tickets for the British, I know that they are in principle not eager to make such a long journey, because it is expensive. But, I am also sure that the possible negative by the English press is likely to be somehow leveled by those who still get here and how they spend their time. Because I remember similar notes of the British before the world Cup, they were dissatisfied with the fact that Russia hosted such event, a large country, inconvenient logistics, which they did not understand much, but in the end everyone was just delighted, everyone liked everything very much. It seems to me that those English fans who will arrive Baku will be pleasantly surprised by what awaits them there - sights, delicious food and hospitality," Zhuravel said.

Speaking about his expectations from the game, the Russian commentator noted that the match is difficult to predict, but it is interesting: "I understand that this will be the biggest stadium that ever hosted the UEFA Cup final. Prior to that, the largest audience gathered in Moscow in 1999. In other words, this final is a record holder. I think there will be a good atmosphere. As for the forecasts, it is so incomprehensible and difficult match to predict, which makes it incredibly exciting to watch. I will praise Arsenal a little. Unai Emery's experience as a man, who won the Europa League three times and Arsenal's attacking force probably makes 51/49 in Arsenal's favor."

"Regarding the fans' safety, there should be no questions here, because this is not the first time Azerbaijan holds such a large-scale competition. Personally there is no difference to go to Baku or Madrid for me. From the standpoint of safety, these are absolutely identical locations for me. I did not invent anything and I am afraid of nothing," the Russian commentator noted.
