Vagif Sadigov: We were aware of dissatisfaction between Samir Alakbarov and assistants

Baku. 16 November. REPORT.AZ/ "AFFA has created the necessary conditions for all teams of lower age groups. In return, our U-17 and U-19 national teams were given task to qualify for the elite round. This is fate of coaches, and they leave their posts when there is no result".

Vagif Sadigov, Chairman of AFFA Coaching Committee told  Report, commenting on dismissal of Mirbaghir Isayev and Tabriz Hasanov, head coaches of U-17 and U-19 Azerbaijani national football teams, respectively. Resignation of the coaches after failure would be better. According to V. Sadigov, cancelation of cooperation with M. Isayev and T. Hasanov is logical in current situation.

The experienced specialist also commented on the scandal between Samir Alakbarov, who was appointed head coach of U-21 Azerbaijani team for 3 matches, and his assistants Aslan Karimov and Jahangir Hasanzade. He said he was aware of the issue.

V. Sadigov also clarified requests from S. Alakbarov's football economy to involve a player in the team. He said that final decision on selection of players is made by a manager and it is impossible to be forcibly involve anyone in the team: "Nobody is allowed to send players to team by order".
