UEFA approves strengthened Club Licensing and Financial Fair Play regulations

Baku. 25 May. REPORT.AZ/ UEFA Executive Committee has approved new strengthened Club Licensing and Financial Fair Play regulations

Report informs citing the official website of Committee, new regulations will increase transparency.

A complete and comprehensive review had been undertaken in consultation with national associations and all other stakeholders (ECA, European Leagues, FIFPro Europe).

Firstly, clubs will publish their financial information, including payments to agents. Secondly, there will be improved harmonization of financial and accounting reporting principles on football specific transactions, such as specific accounting requirements for the transfer of players.

Thirdly, a more proactive approach in order to anticipate financial issues, by introducing a series of new financial indicators that will allow a stricter monitoring of clubs’ budgets by the CFCB. The indicators are: the sustainable

Notably,UEFA Financial Fair Play Regulations (FFP) were established in 2009. Innovations are beginning to be used from 2011/2012 season. According to the rules, professional football clubs can not spend more than they earn.
