Sporting FC player to miss Qarabag match

Baku. 6 November. REPORT.AZ/ The player of Portugal's Sporting FC, one of the opponents of Qarabag in Europa League group stage, will miss the match with Qarabag.

Report informs citing the official website of the Argentine club that midfielder Rodrigo Battaglia, 27, was injured in the 30th minute of the ninth tour of the Portuguese Primera, winning Santa Clara 2: 1.

Battaglia will undergo surgery today and will return after a few months. Therefore, the experienced player will miss the match against Qarabag in the fifth round of the Europa League on November 29.

Sporting won the match against "Qarabag" 2: 0 in Lisbon on September 20.
