Qarabag FC opponent escapes possible transfer ban

Baku. 11 September. REPORT.AZ/ Ukraine's FC Vorskla Poltava, one of the of Qarabag FC rivals in the Europa League group stage has escaped the transfer ban.

Report informs citing the official website of the Football Federation of Ukraine (FFU) that the Poltava representative did not face the ban because he paid off his debts to players by the appointed time.

Ukrainian club sent the necessary documents to the FFU after paying debts to former footballers Oleg Barannik and Evgen Budnik. If the club did not pay its debt until the appointed time, the transfer would have been banned.

Barannik played for Vorskla in 2010 – 2017 years, and Budnik in 2012 - 2016.

Notably, the first match between "Qarabag" and "Vorskla" will be held on October 25 at the Baku Olympic Stadium.

The away match will be held on November 8 at the Alexei Butkovski stadium in Poltava, Ukraine.
