Player of Qarabag's opponent team suffers severe injury - VIDEO

Baku. 9 November. REPORT.AZ/ Danny Welbeck, playing for English Arsenal FC, an opponent of Qarabag FC in the Europa League group stage, suffered a severe injury.

Report informs that the 27-year-old forward went down awkwardly after challenging for a header in the box after 25 minutes in the match with Sporting.

The medics came onto the pitch and tended to the Arsenal forward for about five minutes as his team-mates looked on visibly distraught and shaken.

He was given oxygen before being carried to hospital with what is expected to be a broken ankle.

Notably, the Arsenal-Sporting match ended in a goalless draw.
