Baku. 9 October. REPORT.AZ/ The France Football has announced the names of five more candidates for the Golden Ball award presented to the world's best footballer each year.

Report informs citing the official website of French publication, list also includes representative of Italy Edin Džeko, who scored the second goal in 2nd round of the Champions League group stage match between Qarabag and Roma 2:1 in Baku.

In addition to forward from Bosnia and Herzegovina, England's Manchester City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne, Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea, Tottenham's striker Harry Kane and Germany's Bavarian bombardier Robert Lewandowski included in top five.

Report informs referring to the France Football, Luis Suarez and Sergio Ramos have joined the likes of Neymar as nominees for the Ballon d'Or 2017 award , with the first 10 candidates released.

Ballon d'Or 2017 shortlist unveiled as follows: Philippe Coutinho (Liverpool), Paulo Dybala (Juventus), N'Golo Kante (Chelsea), Marcelo (Real Madrid), Dries Mertens (Napoli), Luka Modric (Real Madrid), Neymar (PSG), Jan Oblak (Atletico Madrid), Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid), Luis Suarez (Barcelona).

Baku. 9 October. REPORT.AZ/ French publication the France Football started to reveal the list of nominees for the Ballon d'Or 2017 award presented annually to the best football players in the world.

Report informs referring to the publication's official website, the first five names so far also includes Neymar who was transferred to French PSG for 222 million Euro from Barcelona team.

The list also includes Luka Modric and Marcelo from Real Madrid of Spain, N'Golo Kante from Chelsea, Paulo Dybala from Juventus. The rest of 25 nominees in the final list will be released during the course of day. France Football was established in 1956 and presents Ballon d'Or 2017 award. Since 2008 Lionell Messi, the captain of Barcelona and Cristiano Ronaldo, forward of Real Madrid have received world’s best football player award. Argentinian player received this award 5 times, Portuguese player 4 times.
