By a wide margin, Inter Miami superstar Lionel Messi remains the top-paid player in MLS history with an overall annual compensation of $20.4 million, according to MLS Players Association data released Thursday, Report informs via The Washington Post.
Toronto FC player Lorenzo Insigne is No. 2 at $15.4 million.
Miami midfielder Sergio Busquets is third on the MLS list at $8.8 million overall, but second in base salary at $8.5 million.
