Georgian football club punishes 5 players suspected of participation in fixed match

Baku. 5 July. REPORT.AZ/ 5 players of Kolkheti-1913 Poti FC have been disqualified for 6 months.

Report informs, decision was made by the Disciplinary Committee of Georgian Football Federation (GFF).

Defenders Lasha Gogonaia, Giorgi Kilasonia and Tornike Jimsheleishvili, as well as midfielder Boris Makharadze and Zubari Arziani are suspected of participation in fixed matches and attempt to change the outcome of the game.

Notably, on June 29, Kolkheti-1913 Poti FC lost "Dynamo" (Tbilisi) 3: 6 at home. Tbilisi team scored 3 goals in last eight minutes before the end.

The national association of the neighboring country, punished both the club and players. Kolkheti-1913 Poti FC lost 6 points. The club dropped to 10th place with 8 points.
