Former Turkish national team footballer arrested

Baku. 22 August. REPORT.AZ/ Former goalkeeper of the Turkish national team Ömer Çatkıç has been arrested.

Report informs citing the Haber7, it has been found out that 43-year-old veteran footballer is a user of the ByLock computer program related to the FETÖ terrorist organization.

He was brought to Istanbul Police Office, and the search was conducted in his house.

Notably, in 2000-2005, Ömer Çatkıç played in 19 matches in the Turkish National Team. Throughout his career, he played for “Eskişehirspor”, “Gaziantepspor”, “Genclerbirliği”, “Bursaspor” and “Antalyaspor”. Currently, he is commentator on a TV channel.
