An agreement has been reached between Azerbaijan's Qarabag and Spain's Sevilla regarding the transfer of Brazilian striker Olavio Juninho, football agent Tural Asgarli, who has been mediating the 28-year-old forward's move to Qarabag, told Report.
Asgarli, currently collaborating with Juninho's representatives, explained that transfer negotiations in football can often take several months, sometimes up to six months. "In fact, Juninho's case is not dragging on. It's just that the media became aware of the topic early on," Asgarli clarified.
While Sevilla is not the only club interested in Juninho, with his representatives likely in contact with other potential suitors, Asgarli stated, "As far as I know, an agreement has been reached between Qarabag and Sevilla regarding the transfer. However, I am unaware of whether a final agreement has been made between Juninho and the Spanish club."
The agent believes that once contract discussions are finalized, the transfer will be resolved. He also touched upon the possibility of the striker traveling to Spain this week, saying, "He may go to Sevilla this week. But it may not happen. In transfer matters, you can't say something will happen until signatures are put on paper."
Juninho has been playing for Qarabag since 2023 and has already tasted success, winning both the Azerbaijan Premier League and the Azerbaijan Cup with the club.
