Emir of Qatar personally invites Tokayev to World Cup

The Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, who is visiting Astana, invited the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to the World Cup in Qatar, Report informs, citing Sputnik-Kazakhstan.

"The FIFA World Cup will start in Qatar next month. I invite you to the World Cup. I know that there will be presidential elections in Kazakhstan at this time. But I hope that you will find time and visit the championship," the Emir said.

Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani also noted that tickets will be sent for the arrival of guests from Kazakhstan. The FIFA World Cup will be held in Qatar from November 20 to December 18. The world championship will be held in the winter season for the first time due to the intense summer heat in Qatar.

During his visit to Kazakhstan, the Emir of Qatar will take part in the VI Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia.
