Chelsea’s captain: Hopefully we can win the final

“After a long season, we have the chance to finish in a strong way, and hopefully we can win it” Chelsea’s captain César Azpilicueta said.

Report informs that he spoke commenting on UEFA Europe League final match to be held against other London’s representative Arsenal in Baku.

Spain defender said that the goal is to lift a trophy: “We started this season very well, we were top of the Premier League; we got to the League Cup final and we knocked out Liverpool away, the only team to beat them at Anfield this season, we beat Tottenham and we were unlucky in the final. In the Europa League we’ve seen a lot of big teams not get to the final and now I’d like to finish the season in a very strong way – by lifting a trophy.”

The 30-year-old footballer also spoke on Eden Hazard who is said to leave the club: “We know the rumours around Chelsea when we approach the end of the season, for players and manager. I arrived here at the same time as Eden; he’s been a very important part of the club, not only on the pitch but off it too. He’s loved by everybody at the club for the way he behaves; he’s our star player but he’s very humble, he never gets crazy or whatever. He’s always been focused on Chelsea; he’s had a lot of rumours through the years, every summer, if he’s staying or going, but Eden has shown every game his passion for Chelsea. He’s a good friend of mine and I want him here as long as possible!”

Notably, the final match to be held on May 29 at the Baku Olympic Stadium will start at 23:00.
