This is derby and final. Therefore, we cannot accept it as an ordinary match, Chelsea defender Emerson Palmieri said in his statement to the FC’s official website about European League final against Arsenal.
The 25-year-old defender says that the ‘ballers’ will demonstrate aggressive game in the first minutes because the rival team was not included in the ‘top four’, which allows qualifying for the Champions League: ‘But we qualified for the Champions League. Our dream to win the European League this season may come true. We hope we’ll do that. This would be pleasure for me. I played in many matches. You feel like a significant player in such tournaments’.
Emerson called matches with Czech Slavia and German Eintracht (Frankfurt) clubs as a culmination point for Chelsea: ‘Hard victories in ¼ final and semifinal helped us prepare for the final well. However, the final match cannot be compared with any match we held this season. I hope we’ll bring the cup to London’.
The final match will be held on May 29 in Olympic Stadium at 11:00 p.m.
