Footballer of Azerbaijani national team not to play for month

Baku. 19 December. REPORT.AZ/ The diagnosis of Sumgayit footballer Shahriyar Aliyev, who was injured in the first match against Neftchi within the 1/4 finals of the Azerbaijani Cup was revealed.

Report informs citing the club that the 26-year-old midfielder, who got an injury in the 62nd minute of the match held on December 15 and was replaced by Murad Khachayev, was the injured ankle ligaments. He cannot play football for a month.

The footballer is expected to start training during Sumgayit's training sessions to be held from January 15 in Antalya region, Turkey. Ali Babayev, who was injured after scoring a goal in the match against Neftchi, will be able to play in the second leg to start at 19:00 tonight.
