Azerbaijani footballer Ayaz Guliyev invited to Russian national team

Baku. 22 August. REPORT.AZ/ Ayaz Guliyev, Russian football player of Azerbaijani origin who plays for FC Rostov, has been invited to Russia national under-21 football team.

Report informs, that the player entered the extended squad for a friendly match with Egypt and for the qualifying match of the European championship in 2019 with Serbia.

The team will gather on September 3. The matches will be held on September 7 in Khimik and on September 11 in Nizhny Novgorod.

Note that Ayaz Guliyev is expected to be invited to the national team of Azerbaijan. Earlier it was reported that the young footballer will receive an invitation to the UEFA League of Nations. If Guliyev goes to the camp of the Russian national team, he will not be able to take part in official matches with Kosovo on September 7 in Baku and away to Malta on September 10. According to the rules, a football player can play in the main national team of only one country. Since Guliyev acts in the junior and youth teams of Russia, in the future his invitation to the national team of Azerbaijan is possible.
