Antoine Griezmann: We bid farewell to Champions League due to loss of points in matches against Qarabag

Report informs, Atletico team striker Antoine Griezmann said in an interview with spox.com.

27-year-old forward linked failure of the continent's most influential club tournament with draw in both matches against Qarabag: It was not because we played badly against big teams like Chelsea and Roma but due to the loss of points in both matches against Qarabag. We should not allow such cases”.

Griezmann called winning the Europa League within Atletico an important event for himself. He recalled the loss in European Championship and the Champions League final within French team stressing that they had finally obtained a title.

Notably, Atletico and Qarabag matches held in Baku and Madrid ended in 0: 0 and 1: 1 draw, respectively. Madrid representative which continued the struggle in the Europa League as third in group became winner of the race.
