The 38-year-old specialist said that the defender from Guinea-Bissau responded negatively to the club’s proposal to renew the contract.

According to Hajiyev, the footballer announced the transfer to another team: “His agent found another club. His contract with Sabail ends, he can go where he wants. We wanted to see him in our team next season. We offered him to stay.”

Note that Maudo Jarjue transferred to Sabail FC in July 2017. The capital city club finished the 2018/2019 season in the Premier League in the third place with 41 points and won the right to play in the Euroleague.
