AFFA Clubs Committee wants the fee for foreign players to be reduced

Baku. 9 June. REPORT.AZ/ "In March, the Executive Committee of AFFA rejected our recommendatory decision about reducing the amount of fee for foreign players. Today, we can say, the discussion took place around the issue."

Report informs, chairman of the AFF Clubs Committee Fikrat Huseynov said in an interview with reporters after today's meeting.

According to him, President of the Professional Football League (PFL), Ramin Musayev was also invited at the recently concluded session.

"On behalf of the clubs, we ask R.Musayev to raise the issue in the Executive Committee. We are not asking for the complete abolition of fee. We want the amount has been reduced. The issue will be discussed with Ramin Musayev at the meeting of the Executive Committee. We have offered to reduce the amount of the fee for legionnaires to 5000 AZN."

Stressing that Azerbaijani football is in a difficult situation, F.Huseynov said that the result is there for all to see: "I would not say that the situation of all clubs is too bad, but they became weak. 3-5 years ago everything was good. There were no problems with fee on foreign players. However, the result is there for all to see."
