Report

Baku. 27 December. REPORT.AZ/ Until this year-end, Azerbaijan's agricultural production is expected to grow by 4%.

Report informs, Vusal Gasimli, Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications (CAERC), said at a press conference on the results of 2017.

According to V. Gasimli, 2017 year was successful for Azerbaijan in terms of diversification of the economy and economic reforms: "Despite crisis in the world economy, up to 25% increase is forecasted in Azerbaijan's non-oil exports this year. 2% growth is expected in our country's non-oil sector by this year-end. This figure will be 4% in the report by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), which is higher than average global figure".

The CAERC chairman also touched upon issues regarding investments in Azerbaijan: "I think that extension of the "Contract of the Century" by 2050 was one of the most important events in our country this year. Investment by a number of world-famous companies, especially BP, in Azerbaijan until 2050 is a signal in itself. This is a message to other investors to invest in Azerbaijan as a stable country open to investment".
