US can impose financial sanctions against China

Baku. 13 September. REPORT.AZ/ If China doesn’t follow the United Nations sanctions approved on North Korea, it will seek new financial sanctions on Beijing to cut off access to the U.S. financial system. 

Report informs citing the Rambler News Agency, the US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said in an interview with CNBC.

“If China doesn’t follow these sanctions, we will put additional sanctions on them and prevent them from accessing the U.S. and international dollar system, and that’s quite meaningful,” Mnuchin said.

Notably, the UN Security Council has adopted a decision to impose sanctions on North Korea after the 6th and most powerful nuclear weapons testing. New sanctions restrict textile exports from this country and oil imports to the country.
